What I’ve Been Doing (Not Blogging)

Hey: I’ve been writing and traveling (and keeping my body and spirit moving). So, while I’ve been seeing many of my articles online, my blog seems to be slowly winding down…..but, as in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, “I’m not dead yet.” Just onto some other venues.

Not Only Writing

I appeared on PBS News Hour on January 18, 2024 in a show entitled Why women are drawn to solo travel and how the tourism industry is responding.

So I’m still here and chugging along and working hard……and I’ve got a lot of words left in me. I still get excited about the possibility of taking off, and over the past few years I’ve expanded the ways in which I travel—solo, with my husband, with my daughter, with a friend, with small groups of women, with larger groups of everybody. I hope to be on the road until I can’t. But even when I can’t, I still have lots of words left in me: memories, my stories and those of my fabulous cohort. Life changes, and I travel to both take things in and to give them out. I dreamed about the wider world when I was just a kid, and I’ve tried to find my way in it. It’s been a grand ride.
